I am Adjunct Professor of Modern History at the History Department of the University of Basel (Switzerland). I received my doctorate for research on Hungarian-Jewish history, and qualified for professorial status with a postdoctoral study on the historical sciences in the digital age. In 2010, I was Visiting Professor in "History, Didactics, and Digital Media" at the University of Vienna (Austria). I am also the co-founder of hist.net, an international platform for history and digital media and since 2004 have served as reviewing editor of H-Soz-u-Kult, the German branch of H-Net. My most recent book is «Digital Past. History in the Digital Age" (in German).
