I am a research and instruction librarian that teaches life long literacy skills to students, faculty, and anyone else that asks for my help. I was initially trained as a historian which made me critical of information, especially after being introduced to historiography. After library school I embraced the social sciences as a means to better understand the continuing evolution of intellectual thought and history. Recently I have employed the anthropological method of holistic study to better understand what students need and how they understand the academic environment.
