Lecturer in Neuroscience at the Aix-Marseille University in the PPSN departement and teaching The Mechanisms of Cellular excitability, Cellular communication and The physiology of sensory systems.

Researcher in Neuroscience with a long experience in Electrophysiological Recordings of cultured neurons and in neurons in brain slices (Hippocampus, Thalamus, Brainstem). The electrophysiological recordings are combined with cellular imaging either morphological or functional (Calcium imaging).

Main present research interest: cerebrospinal fluid contacting neurons along the spinal cord, the brainstem and the hypothalamus. The study consist in determining the morphological characteristic of these peculiar neurons and to determine their functional properties at the spinal, medullar and hypothalamic level.
