Nicolas Baya-Laffite
I hold degrees in Political Science and Urban Environmental Management (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and in Science and Technology Studies (EHESS, Paris). I am currently finishing my PhD on controversies involving environmental assessment in transboundary contexts.
Since November 2011, I am project manager and research fellow at medialab Sciences Po, Paris. I am currently managing an ANR-funded collaborative research project on debates on climate change adaptation (MEDEA). The project aims a building a digital platform representing the emerging debates on adaptation to climate change in France. The project explores the potentialities of the controversy-mapping approach developped by Bruno Latour as a means to enhance public engagement in sociotecnical debates.
Since septembre 2011, I am ATER (temporary lecturer and researcher) at Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée. I thought a course on Sociology of Modernity.
Over the last years I have tought courses of Science and technology studies at Sciences Po and AgroParisTech. I have also worked as a consultant for various French and Internantional organisations in the field of Science in Society.
