I am Assistant Professor for South Asian Buddhism in the Department of Religion at the Universiy of Florida. I specialize in early Buddhist inscriptions and manuscripts. I am completing a book on relationships between trade networks and patterns of Buddhist transmission throughout and beyond South Asia. Currently I am a research fellow for Indian Religious History in a project on Dynamics in the History of Religions between Asia and Europe in the International Consortium for Research in the Humanities at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Germany).
