Professor of Economics. I teach and do research on the Japanese and Chinese economies. I also do research on the automotive industry, particularly suppliers. Tied to that, I am a judge for a supplier innovation competition, the Automotive News PACE Awards. I am active in the Industry Studies Association, GERPISA, and (as schedule permits) the Business History Conference. I have twice been a Fulbrighter in Japan, and speak / read Japanese.
