Being a marine ecologist with a PhD in civil engineering I am interested in the harmonisation of hydraulic engineering with ecosystems. My assignment is to balance nature development with sand nourishments, safety against flooding and harbour development. To reach this, I use state-of-the-art monitoring techniques and fundamental research.
