Michelle Ibarra
I am a Doctoral Learner at Grand Canyon University, working on my Dissertation. I have a Masters in Healthcare Administration and a BS in Dental Hygiene. I was a hygienist for 15+ years.
My research is a qualitative phenomenological study on experienced burnout in Adult Protective Service Investigators. Burnout has indeed become a debilitating psychosocial disorder effecting millions of people in all walks of life.
I have a wide variety of professional interests, but my passion is elder advocacy, particularly the growing travesty of elder abuse of all types (neglect, physical, mental, sexual, financial, etc).
I am an artist, with talents in many mediums and am always involved in several projects at the same time; my mind will not shut off when it comes to creating new things! A few (very few compared to all I've done, I give most stuff away) of my creations can be seen on my Pinterest Board "The Art of Mischuf". https://www.pinterest.com/mischuf/the-art-of-mischuf-my-own-designs/
"Mischuf" was a name my maternal grandfather gave me when I was very young, and he informed my parents that they spelled my name wrong.....
I love to play and I have help from 8 grandchildren, and 4 kids that all keep me young, with lots of laughter and love.
