I'm a Agricultural Engineer from Nova Scotia, Canada, currently studying for a PhD at the University of Dundee (Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design) in the field of Natural Design.  My academic interests are primarily in the field of design theory and methodology in terms of 'salutogenic' or health generating design in the realm of food and food systems.

Professionally, I have worked in engineering consultancies in western Canada and the UK.  My engineering work was mainly focused around regulatory approval of livestock operations, abattoir design and renewable energies - gasification, biogas and wind.  I also lecture mechanisation at the Scottish Agricultural College in Aberdeen.
