George Ade - The Old-Time Saloon

I went all old-school and hunted down Ade's book to hand-scan the illustrations...   It wasn't at Hunter and I live on Long Island (*gasp*, Long Island, woe is me) so I had to make a trip to C.W. Post but it was worth it, I think, because it was published in 1931 and is illustrated

I did a rudimentary crop of the original scans on GIMP but I didn't account for file size or image dimensions which might become relevant when the editors upload to Omeka.

Also, the first scan has a list of all the illustrations + credits the artist/source.  Editors will need that info for Omeka.

Not all the images will be relevant but I thought they were all awesome.  I also scanned the original text and will upload the pdf to google drive shortly.  Writers can skim through the original context to see what will work.

George Ade - The Old-Time Saloon / full text pdf

The text focues on American Saloon Culture not necessarily specific to NY but the images could be useful anyway.
