This morning I met with Huey Donne the former Director of Allegheny State Park. He will take us to Park Headquarters for a records search and help track down living former CCC workers. There were three CCC camps in the Park and one outside it. One of them was all Black. There were also numerous WPA projects in the Park. I also am tracking down the local retired Park Historian who lives in Salamanca for an interview. This may be a little out of sequence but these folks are all well into their 80's and I think they should be interviewed and recorded more sooner than later. I plan on doing this when I return from Nevada which will be the first week in February. Start thinking about recording equipment etc so the recordings can be easily uploaded. t
