I forward this from the ESA Sociology of Emotions email list... -------- Dear colleagues, For the first time, we are convening a research group on the Sociology of Emotions at the Spanish National Congress of Sociology (Pamplona, July 1st-3rd 2010). As a new group, our aim is to organise 4 general sessions on the main topics of the Sociology of Emotions in order to start building a new national network. The sessions are the following (in Spanish): SOCIOLOGIA DE LAS EMOCIONES Sesiones de trabajo A) Perspectivas teóricas, metodologías y técnicas de investigación aplicables al estudio de las emociones. B) Emociones colectivas y dinámica social: identidades y movimientos sociales; política y manipulación de los sentimientos; emociones y medios de comunicación. C) Emociones en la interacción social: el miedo; el sufrimiento; el odio; la vergüenza, la felicidad; el orgullo; el amor. D) La estructura social de las emociones: en el trabajo y en las organizaciones productivas; en las relaciones de género; en las generaciones y en las edades.
