Library View vs Recent Items

Quick Tip for those new to Zotero: if you are viewing this through the web interface, the group landing page shows a list of Recently Added items. This list is somewhat disordered and not a very good view from which to work with the library. Instead, I recommend clicking on "Group Library." There you will find an organized view of the collection, with notes and links attached to the related items, some metadata immediately visible, and generally a much more intuitive interface. -Amanda

Oddly, the Library View seems to show me 5 items, while the Recently Added view shows me more. At least using the Web interface, it isn't clear to me how to see more items in the library view.

Yes, Steve, that's one of the things I dislike about the Recent view.  The "additional" things it shows are things like notes that someone has made about an item or a link to that item. In the Library view, those don't show up as separate items, but rather as items associated with particular references.

I just added a column to the library view (using the little column button to top right of it): number of children. This at least lets you see whether there are attached items such as notes or links.
