Martha Joy Rose

Interested in Women and Gender Studies and Feminist Scholarship. Have written about and taught "Mother Studies" with a focus on HERstory, family, and the science of procreation. I'm an activist, artist and former punk rocker. My foray into the academy follows on the heels of lectures, workshops, and the founding of the Museum of Motherhood in NYC. I’ve been organizing academic conferences since 2008 and studying women in society since 1997. Recent writing includes contributions to Sage Publishing and I’m an active blogger as well as the founder of the Mamapalooza Festival (international).
