Mahamuni Inf. & Ref. Centre for Indo-Tibetica-Himalayan Studies (MIRCITHS) is information and reference service centre for the promotion of Indo-Tibetica-Himalayan Studies set out to be a major player in promoting scholarly communication among academicians and researchers on given special field of studies. It has been ordained in modernizing library and information service and creation of infrastructure for networking and information sharing among resource centers for the optimum utilization of resource holdings.

M-IRCITHS is registered society and has initially undertaking some incidental and encouraging projects to the attainment of foresaid purpose. The compilation of bibliographical data and description of given literature, and resource center and human resource person are been scanning and archiving for database development.

As service Center, M-IRCITHS activities will include exploration, acquisition, organization and dissemination of literature on the given subject as well as to interact with research, academic, scholar and other interested worldwide client with services such as: (a) Current Awareness Services, (b) Selective Dissemination of Information Services, (c) Indexing and Abstracting Services, (d) Literature Searching Services, (e) Reference Services, and (f) Translation Services etc.
