I am an Assistant Professor of Writing at UH-Clear Lake.  In addition to comp research/pedagogy generally, my areas of expertise are writing program administration, future of comp, (digital) literacy, and transformative education, which includes retention/matriculation issues. I actually work at the intersections of these things. For example, my dissertation largely explores the impact of digital pedagogy on both the future of Rhet/Comp and writing program development, due (in part) to its potential to increase student engagement/retention.  I have also worked actively in the K-16 continuum via National Writing Project and various collaborations with K-12 people. I teach all things writing, specifically: composition, argument, busines writing, technical, comp theory, and research methods.
