I am a Mellon Associate Research Scholar at the Center for Spatial Research at Columbia University where I focus on how language shapes urban space. I recently finished my PhD in Linguistics at the Graduate Center at CUNY where my dissertation investigated the relationship between academic, social, and txt literacy skills among bilingual young adults. The corpus that resulted from this is available at byts.commons.gc.cuny.edu. I am currently planning a book on the role of language in building intimate relationships.
