I am a veterinarian from Brazil. I came to the US in 2005 and worked with small animal medicine in Florida, with a special interest in behavioral medicine. In 2010, I came to WSU to pursue a career in animal behavior. I use evidence-based behavior modification techniques to manage and prevent behavior disorders in pets, serving as the Advisor for the Veterinary College Behavior Club project with the Whitman County Humane Society dogs and cats. I also teache VM 526-Domestic and Exotic Animal Behavior at the College of Veterinary Medicine. My thesis project focuses on attachment system and responses of pets to social loss.
