I am a cultural historian, Southeast Asianist and Thai Studies specialist
who recently completed my PhD at Berkeley. My work concerns the
interplay of gender, ethnicity and politics within the walls of the
Siamese Inner Palace (women's quarters) in the late-nineteenth- and
early-twentieth centuries.
