Liam Deacon

I am a PhD student studying surface science and in particular looking into quantum well states at polar oxide surfaces. The analytical techniques I use include: XPS, UPS, AES, LEED, and STM - all under ultra high vacuum (UHV) conditions.

A preliminary study of the Ag/ZnO(0001bar)-O interface was performed for my final year Physics undergraduate project and the polar surfaces I am currently researching are the ZnO{0001} surfaces.
