Currently, I am a doctoral student with the Institute of Cognitive Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (Université des Acadiens). I serve as a research assistant to Dr. Claude G. Čech in his cognitive and discourse processes lab.

My main area of research interest involves selective attention in discourse processes. In other words, the role of selective attention in how people coordinate meaning in conversation. I also am interested in sequence learning and music. This involves the relationship between learning musical sequences and nonmusical sequences.
