My current professional work involves providing IT/IS computer support to the ARVE group where the research focuses on the role of the Earth's land surface in the climate system. I will be helping with development and application of a variety of Dynamic Global Vegetation Models (DGVMs) and larger earth system models of which DGVM using Fortran, D, Mathematica, Matlab and whatever other tools are at hand. I am also a developer for iPhone/iPad (Objective-C) and Web (PHP/Javascript/MySQL).

In the past, my work was in developing mathematical models for studying communication variability in real-time networks (the type used in nuclear power plants) using temporal logic, stochastic timed Petri nets, and formal languages.
