Kristen Epps

I am an assistant professor in the history department at Colorado State University-Pueblo. My book manuscript is a social history of slavery on the Kansas-Missouri border during the antebellum period, focusing particularly on the geography of labor and movement into the region.

In the past I have worked at the Kansas State Historical Society, the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture, and as a freelance historical consultant.
