Karl Grindal serves as the Executive Director of the Cyber Conflict Studies Association (CCSA). CCSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and leading a diversified research agenda in the field of cyber conflict. CCSA's vision is to be the premier thought leader in the field by fostering dialogue, leading research, and developing academic programs focused on the implications of cyber conflict. Mr. Grindal partnered with CCSA in 2011 as a contributor to the publication Addressing Cyber Instability and was the Associate Editor of the critically acclaimed history book A Fierce Domain: Conflict in Cyberspace 1986 to 2012, released in June 2013.

Mr. Grindal holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Government with a Certificate in International Relations from Wesleyan University and a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Technology Policy from Georgetown University.
