SOLINET's Academic Library Hurricane Recovery Project funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, 2006

The award for $25,000 went to replacing library materials lost as a result of Hurricane Rita.

Louisiana Rebirth: Restoring the Soul of America, 2006 (co-writer)

This initiative spearheaded by Mitch Landrieu was a statewide response to help artists and arts organizations recover from the hurricanes Rita and Katrina. This $25,000 grant, by compensating for the loss of membership, permitted the McNeese Banners Arts and Humanities Series to fulfill its obligations for the 2006 season even though our usual venues had been damaged by the hurricanes.

Capacity Building Planning Grant through the Louisiana Division of the Arts Grants Program, 2006 (co-writer)

This award of approximately $15,000 paid for a consultancy for our campus Arts and Humanities Series to investigate processes which might facilitate expansion and longevity of the 15 year old series.
