I am a postgraduate student in the Language Documentation & Description: Field Linguistics programme at SOAS. This year I will be researching, documenting, describing Guernésiais, an endangered Norman language spoken on the island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. I will be compiling and producing a dictionary of food and cooking terms, which will be completed by September 2010.
