John  is a Senior Research Officer working in the Brotherhood of St Laurence Research and Policy Centre. His current research focus is on engaging employers to assist jobseekers who face disadvantage in the labour market.

John has a background in international aid and development, having worked for World Vision International supporting urban community development projects. John is undertaking a PhD at RMIT University on informal labour and enterprise in response to changing social and economic institutions. He has a Master of Arts (International Relations) from the Australian National University.
