
Donald Billings : Curriculum Vitae
With an established track-record spanning more than 20 years in leadership, entrepreneurial, and consultative roles serving global law firms and fortune 100 companies, Donald is passionate about helping others succeed. He currently serves as a member of the Practice Support Management Team at Sidley Austin LLP, specializing in the areas of eDiscovery, business process automation, and digital-forensics. He also serves as a lecturer for the Organization of Legal Professionals and is a member of the Board of Advisors for UrbanSculpt, LLC.
Prior to joining Sidley, Donald was affiliated with leading Intellectual property boutique Skjerven Morrill, LLP, where he worked as the firm-wide paralegal manager and litigation technology manager for the Silicon Valley based organization.
Donald began his career as a founding partner and principal consultant of JurisTech Advisory Services, a legal consultancy and technology company serving the legal, financial, and real-estate sectors.
Donald’s philanthropic efforts have focused on promoting positive social change. He served as Cofounder and Executive Director of HCAA, a partnership with the City of San Jose developed to foster renewal in distressed urban communities. He has also provided research assistance on behalf of the University of San Francisco’s Center for Law & Global Justice.
Donald’s experience and skills are supported by an academic background that complements his natural communication, insight, and leadership abilities. He graduated magna cum laude from Touro College with a B.Sc in Computer Science and holds a Master’s certificate in IS Security and Project Management from Villanova. Donald also holds an MBA certificate from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business, as well as an honors diploma in Legal Studies. He also earned an M.Sc. in Leading Innovation and Technology and is currently pursuing his Doctorate (DBA) in Technology Entrepreneurship.
