John McKibbin is a Senior Research Consultant at the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures focused on applying integrated assessment processes to inform urban infrastructure policy and planning.

Drawing from a background in civil and environmental engineering, John has enjoyed working on a broad range of projects informing water, energy, sanitation and transport policy and planning with developers, utilities, and government agencies at all levels.

Building on his consulting experience, John is concurrently engaged in doctoral research exploring improved conceptual models and analyses for analysing and designing our cities- a project which is jointly supported by the Australian Commonwealth Government and the CSIRO Flagship Scholar Program.
