James Miller
I provide consulting and investigations concerning human performance and fatigue. I have over 45 years of experience in the measurement and analysis of human physical and cognitive performance in military and civil aviation; highway, rail and maritime transportation; and night and shift work. I'm the author of Fatigue in McGraw-Hill's Controlling Pilot Error series (2001). I was a charter Associate Editor of the magazine Ergonomics in Design and am a former Chair of the Department of Defense Human Factors Engineering Technical Advisory Group (DoD HFE TAG). I'm also a former Air Force pilot (C-130E Hercules) and Vietnam veteran.
