James Emmott

James Emmott is a Lecturer in Nineteenth-Century Literature in the Department of English and Modern Langauges at Oxford Brookes University.

His work has appeared in Victorian Studies and the Journal of Victorian Culture, and he is currently writing a book about the techniques and technologies of recording and reading the voice and face in nineteenth- and early twentieth-century science and culture.

He serves as Membership Secretary to the British Association for Victorian Studies.
