Marine Biogeochemistry, Marine Trace Gas Emissions, Dissolved Organic Matter Transformations, Aquatic Photochemistry.

I was born 08.11.1960 in Karlsruhe, Germany
studied chemistry at Universitaet Karlsruhe (TH); Diplom-Chemiker 1988;
public service work at Environment Agency Baden-Wuerttemberg 1988-1990;
PhD work at the Biogeochemistry Department, Max Planck Institute for Chemistry Mainz, Germany, 1990-1994; followed by a postdoctoral appointment 1994-6.

1996-now at Newcastle University
