As the work with semantics and services grows more ambitious in the Semantic Web community, there is an increasing appreciation on the need for principled approaches for representing and reasoning under uncertainty.

In according to the URW3-XG effort we have been researching on how to model and reason using probabilistic ontologies. The language used for building probabilistic ontologies is PR-OWL, an extension for OWL based on MEBN.

UnBBayes is a free and open-souce platform independet probabilistic framework that implements PR-OWL and MEBN.

In this group we plan to share the publications related to reasoning with uncertainty in the Semantic Web and thus with the development of UnBBayes.
