Welcome to the Zotero site for the PNCA Arts Intensive Pilot--The Ground Beneath Us.

The purpose of this month-long intensive pilot is to test a new curricular model that integrates liberal arts, fine arts, and applied studio elements--academic and studio work are combined into a vital and ethical life of creative practice. The program's pilot roots into the soil of the Pacific Northwest, and will focus on the direct experience and study of this land, this landscape, its histories, and its representation. Professional studio practice is built into the course's structure and the result will call for a responsible, ethical, sustainable, and thriving institution. Demonstrating the power of this integrated and ethical approach to making and to study, the pilot will provide a test case for a three-year intensive BFA education model. The pilot is free to admitted students.
