Active thermal system use tube heat exchangers integrated in the building structure (walls and -more often- concrete slabs).  Integrating the building structure to act an energy-storage, this system has proved to be energy efficient and economically viable for cooling and heating of buildings. The energy source can be environmental energy from the ground, ground water and outdoor air.
