The onset of sand co-production in oil and gas wells has detrimental effects on productivity and also in terms of personnel exposure to risks.  A means of predicting the onset of sand in the produced fluids will bring economic benefits as oil and gas wells can be controlled accordingly to mitigate the erosive/corrosive effects of sand.  This Group seeks current thinking in the technology today where sand prediction has been employed successfully.
