During the first half of the 20th century, a number of German, Austrian and other European architects travelled to Chile, bringing modernistic ideas in their intellectual luggage. Interesting traces of their work can still be found in Chile and in Germany. In this Seminar, we will study their buildings, projects, writings and other documentation from direct sources in Berlin searching for the specific traits that may help better understand their work and the modernistic influences they carried.
