Geoarchaeology is also known as archaeological geology or geological archaeology, depending on who you ask. I choose to call this group geoarchaeology because it is the shortist of the three.
The discipline of geoarchaeology is a combination of geology and archaeology to study past cultures. Geoarch is very, very interdisciplinary across the fields of geology, history, and archaeology. Toss in a little chemistry, soil sciences, and whatever else will help solve the problem and you have "geoarchaeology".
