He came into Texas, Red River Co area about 1823-1824 with his maternal Grandfather Francis HOPKINS (aka Frank). Isaiah's first marriage was to (wife unkn), and they had a son, Isaiah Hampton, b 4/15/1831, d 2/23/1911, m 8/15/1850 to Mary Jane HOOSER, b 10/12/1829, d 10/3/1886. His second marriage 1833 was to Mary Elizabeth MCGOWEN (aka Patty), b 11/7/1817. They had 5 children: Janie, William Hampton, Thomas Jefferson, Isaiah Marion (aka Tobe), and Elizabeth Ann (aka Betty).
