Established in 1998, the Centre for Canadian Culture at the University of Udine (Italy) is now a leading research institute in the arts and social sciences and part of a network of European and international centres which receive funding from the Canadian government (through the Embassy’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada) assisting foreign Canadian Studies associations in the promotion and development of the study of Canada.

The Centre has also strengthened its ties with various local, national and international institutions.

Besides the bilateral agreements for student and professor exchanges between the University of Udine and the Canadian Universities of Guelph, Sir Wilfred Laurier, Windsor, Laurentian, Sherbrooke and Ottawa, the Centre for Canadian Culture has also recently signed a trilateral agreement with the Canadian Studies Centres at the Universities of Graz and Montreal.
