This group focuses on the the Axiomatic Design theory, developed by Prof Nam P Suh at MIT. Prof Suh aims to create a scientific basis for all designing activities by establishing a formal logical structure which allows logical reasoning on designing. Due to its generality and focus on the domain-agnostic aspects, Axiomatic Design should be applicable not only to engineering, but to all kinds of designing.
This group collects all publications relating to Axiomatic Design, which includes antecedent works, theoretical development, reviews and critiques, theoretical and practical issues, application case studies, extensions, convergence with other design methodologies, and logical proofs.
Current focus is on writing a comprehensive review paper on Axiomatic Design.
