Arts-informed research is a qualitative method of research, which is grounded in the participation of the researcher in the visual and/or performing arts to gather and analyze information. This method grew out of the social sciences field in response to increasing trends in participatory action research among scholars, and because traditional methods of research were no longer producing adequate and informative information.
