Gina Vogt

Gina Vogt joined the Milwaukee School of Engineering Center for BioMolecular Modeling in the summer of 2012.  She received her B.S. in Secondary Science Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983.  Gina has taught physical science, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology and a variety of other science courses (avoiding physics like the plague!) at Brown Deer High School in Brown Deer, Wisconsin for the past twenty-eight years.  She has earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University Wisconsin.  During her tenure as a teacher she has served as a member of the WSST Awards and Recognition Committee, a lead teacher for the WisTEP program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and as a regional BioNet director.  Currently Gina is the director of the local SMART (Students Modeling A Research Topic) Team program.  Her interests include incorporating modeling into science education outreach and developing those models to help teachers tell molecular stories in their classrooms.
