Dr Geoff Kuehne's current work is aimed a developing a tool (ADOPT) and a process to systematise the knowledge about adoption of agricultural innovations to be used in the planning of research, development and extension strategies. ADOPT can be downloaded from www.csiro.au/ADOPT

His research interest is focused on improving the understanding of how farmers make decisions and the influences on those decisions. He has a continuing interest in developing research which is done 'with' farmers not 'on' farmers.

Dr Kuehne is focused on improving the understanding of how farmers make decisions and the influences on those decisions.

He has had experience with quantitative social research methods but also has an ongoing interest in exploring novel qualitative methods, especially when they show potential for being more appropriate methods for gathering data from farmers than the more commonly used traditional approaches.
