Genevieve Yue is a Consortium for Faculty Diversity postdoctoral fellow at Macalester College. In 2012 she earned her Ph.D. from the Critical Studies program at the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California, where she completed a dissertation entitled "Medusan Optics: Film, Feminism, and the Forbidden Image." She is an editor of Discourse: Theoretical Studies in Media and Culture and co-founder and director of Lettre Sauvage, a letterpress imprint. Her scholarly writing has appeared in Grey Room, Ecce, and Film Quarterly, and she frequently contributes essays and reviews to Film Comment, Reverse Shot, Cinema Scope, Artforum.com, and The LA Weekly.
