My research is in communication theory, and uses human-robot interactions in science fact and fiction to think and talk about what it means to be human, and to explore the relation between all sorts of selves and others.

In particular, I'm interested in the rich possibilities of accepting a broad understanding of communication between self and other, as more than transmission of information.
