Eleanor Howe
I lead the development of a large, open-source bioinformatics desktop application, called MeV, or MultiExperiment Viewer. I coordinate a team of four in the development of the program, support of our users, and promotion of MeV as a platform for bioinformatics software development.
At the same time, I am pursuing my DPhil (PhD equivalent) in Bioinformatics at the University of Oxford under the direction of Drs. Chris Holmes and John Quackenbush. I am examining the involvement of microRNAs in epithelial ovarian cancer using microarrays and statistical tools.
