Ethan Kleinberg

Ethan Kleinberg is Professor of History and Letters at Wesleyan University and Executive Editor of History and Theory. He has recently taken the position as director of Wesleyan University’s Center for the Humanities. He is the author of Generation Existential: Heidegger’s Philosophy in France, 1927-61 and numerous articles on intellectual history and the theory of history.  His co-edited volume on “Presence” is forthcoming from Cornell University Press and he is completing a book length monograph on Emmanuel Levinas’s Talmudic lectures in Paris. Next up is a monograph on the current state of the philosophy of history and then a large research project on French perceptions of the Soviet Union.
