I am an environmental historian at a liberal arts teaching university who tends toward exploring the relationships created among the ideas people hold, the systems they create and the ways that they interact with nature.  I'm also the Directory of General Education, which is about managing all those required courses in the General Eduation program and working on projects that enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the university.
