I am a lecturer in the performing arts at the University of Central Lancashire. My research interests are Shakespeare, rhetoric, social psychology of nonverbal communication (gesture), cultural history of human movement analysis, visual arts. I use motion capture technology to study posture and gesture, and am currently working on a book called 'Shakespeare in Practice: gesture' for Palgrave Macmillan.
